The Blossom upcycled bustier wraps elegantly over the figure into a sculptural bow. This top is made from upcycled cotton sateen, featuring a floral print at the front and a contrasting painterly back. Featuring an internal soft corset for support, a fixed bow at the front and a zip fastening at the back.
Materials: 100% upcycled cotton sateen, 1950s upcycled upholstery.

Cruelty Free: Design Blender uses deadstock silk as opposed to virgin silk.
Circularity Centered: The entire brand philosophy is based on reusing and upcyling materials as well as extending the life cycle of each product. Design Blender offer repairs.
Friendly Materials: Mostly upcycled vintage fabrics are used. All new fabrics carry sustainability certifications such as: OEKOTEX, GOTS, PEACE SILK, NEW LIFE yarns, GRS cupro (see materials on product info). The dyes used are selected in collaboration with a botanical dye expert (www.miasylvia.co.uk).
Locally Crafted: All products are made in the UK by freelance specialists (pattern cutters, seamstress, cutting atelier, dyers, embroidery). Deadstock fabrics and antique/vintage sourcing is mostly based in the UK, EU.
Considerately Produced: Upcycling of fabrics and local sourcing and production allows for reduced carbon footprint. Small production and made to order allows for minimal waste.
Packaging: Packaging is biodegradable, recycled or comes from end of line products..

DesignBlender is a London-based atelier that practices 'glamcycling', the process of reworking old clothes into glamorous upgraded versions of their former selves. With sustainability at its heart, it artfully blends ideas, cultures and timelines and follows a zero-waste production method, striving to address notions of overconsumption and empower consumers to shop sustainably without having to scrimp on style. Materials are selected for their traceable, low environmental impact with many FSC and PEFC certified and OEKO-TEX approved, and the company offers a 'take-back' model where unwanted clothes serve as inspiration for new ones. Packaging also plays a role with 100% recycled boxes, water-soluble and biodegradable garment bags, and natural wax stamps favoured over stickers.
