Water Usage: Fabrics are milled into fibres and re-formed with no adhesives, only using high pressure water, 95% is recycled. No use of virgin materials which significantly reduce amount of water.
Circularity Centered: Offer free repairs and end of life recycling.
Cruelty Free: Recycled leather made from tannery offcuts and trimmings that would have been discarded, no animals harmed throughout the process.
Friendly Materials: BEEN London prioritises innovative and recycled materials which have a fraction of the carbon emissions compared to their virgin originals. These include tannery off-cut leather, discarded clothes, regenerated nylon made from plastic, recycled cotton and pineapple leaf and apple skin leather!
Giveback Culture: Felt linings made by people with a long-term history of unemployment. Work with NGO Tree-Nation who plant a tree with every order and support Amazon native communities.
Locally Crafted: Everything is locally made to minimise carbon footprint and create the highest level of transparency.
Considerately Produced: Been London uses only recycled materials and follows a zero-waste design approach with square and rectangular panels which produce close to no waste. Its supply chain is blockchain verified with everything made locally in East London to minimise carbon footprint and create the highest level of transparency. It works with small product quantities and enjoys a 100% sell through rate, and partners with Tree Nation to plant a tree in Peru for every bag sold.
Packaging: is made from recycled card and tissue paper using small amounts of tape.
