Designed for everyday wear, these comfortable ballet style flats are cut, sewn and crafted by hand from supple Italian leather and their shape is defined by the natural curve of the foot. These everyday classic yet modern slip-ons feature a memory foam padding for extra comfort, a squared toe and a flattering shape.
Materials: the leather used is a byproduct of the meat industry.
The heel height measures 5mm. If you wear a half size, we recommend sizing up for a perfect fit.

Sustainability
Water Usage: The tanneries that ESSĒN collaborates with work with wastewater recover plants in order to recycle and reuse the water and minimize waste. The production wastewater is transferred to a local treatment plant, where it gets treated, sanitized and returned to the environment. ESSĒN also uses non-toxic, chrome-3 tanned aniline leathers. This process uses significantly less water and energy and the final leather is water resistant, softer and thinner, making for a more comfortable final product.
Cruelty Free: All leather used is a by-product of the meat industry, which would otherwise go to waste. The leather used is LWG certified.
Friendly Materials: All leather used is non-toxic, aniline leather is used where suitable. ESSĒN also uses recycled rubber and plastics whenever available.
Giveback Culture: ESSĒN partners with i=Change and a percentage of each sale goes to one of three charities involved with either cleaning the sea, supporting Syrian refugees and helping women build their future.
Considerately Produced: ESSĒN partners with TR[1]BE to carbon compensate and support energy efficiency, forestry and clean energy projects.
Packaging: Boxes are made from recycled cardboard and the inks used are soy-based, the tape used is strictly paper tape.
